I'm encouraged and inspired by your approach of going in and adding heart paragraph-by-paragraph. I've got a draft I've been working on for two years that I can't get the voice right on, and I keep thinking I need to scrap it and start over every time.
I love this post, Courtney. I love how you let yourself be vulnerable. I know you don't even know me, but if you'd like to share (or even exchange) pages with someone also struggling with the process, I'm available. In any event, I love the idea of "attack[ing] our projects with gratitude and pleasure."
Happy Thanksgiving! Mary
P.S. I just reread this (somewhat in horror). I'm not looking for free coaching!!
Sorry to hear it was a rough trip. Failing self-imposed deadlines is sometimes the worst. I also struggle with these feelings.
Also goes to show the power of social media to only portray the best sides of things, because from your IG it looked like an amazing trip and you looked happy and relaxed.
The Sunshine State
I live in the Orlando area, though nowhere near the side of town where you were and I grew up just east of the Suwannee river in rural North Florida.

Happy Thanksgiving Courtney. Canadians celebrate in October.
Thanks for your post.
This resonates with me so much right now. Thank you 🙏
